At the beginning of this year, we reached a point where everything felt like too much.
We were overwhelmed, exhausted, constantly questioning where we were going in life. From the outside, everything looked fine - we had jobs, plans, goals. But inside, we were stuck. Torn between doing what was expected and what we actually wanted. We had gone through heartbreak, job changes and living in different countries. And in the middle of all that chaos, we realized something:
We had no real space to process any of it.
So we started writing. Not for an audience. Not for social media. Just for ourselves.
But it didn’t feel like a typical journal. We weren’t writing pages of rambling thoughts or endless “dear diary” entries. What we needed was something more structured. We wanted questions that helped us reflect. Space to set intentions. Prompts that guided us without telling us who to be.
Something that met us exactly where we were - and gently nudged us forward.
That’s when the idea for bgirl was born.
We started creating the kind of journal we wished we had during the hardest moments in our twenties. A journal for when you feel lost. For when you're going through a breakup. For when you're quitting a job that drains you. For when you’re starting over - or learning to let go.
And we didn’t want it to be just another productivity planner or self-help workbook. We wanted it to feel like sitting down with a friend who truly sees you.
A friend who asks the right questions.
Who gives you space to figure things out at your own pace.
Who reminds you that you’re not broken just because you’re still becoming.
Each journal in our series is rooted in a phase of our own lives.
They’re inspired by personal experiences: letting go of old patterns, stepping into our power, choosing ourselves again and again.
We didn’t expect to turn our healing into a product. But the more we shared the idea with other women, the more we heard:
"I wish I had something like this."
"This is exactly what I need right now."
"I never knew how much I needed space to reflect until I finally had it."
And that’s when we knew - this was bigger than us.
This was about building a tool, a practice, a movement of women in their 20s choosing to know themselves deeply.
Because we believe journaling isn’t just about writing things down. It’s about coming home to yourself. Again and again.
So if you’ve ever felt lost, heartbroken, unmotivated, unsure of your next step - these journals were made for you.
We created them because we needed them. And we hope they become the space you turn to when you’re ready to rewrite your story.
With all our love,
The bgirl team
